The American University of Sharjah (AUS) once again opened its doors to alumni from across the world for its much-anticipated Alumni Reunion 2025, held on January 18. This year’s event, themed "Pay It Forward: Inspiring Future Generations through Education," brought together over 600 distinguished graduates who have left their mark across various industries. The grand evening was graced by Her Highness Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, President of AUS, who emphasized the transformative role of alumni in shaping the university’s future and fostering sustainable growth in the region.

  • A Storytelling moment with Raha Moharrak: Raha, the first Saudi woman to summit Mount Everest, shared her remarkable journey and the power of perseverance.
  • Musical Performances: renowned Emirati singer Hussain Al Jassmi and talented AUS alumna Dana Al Fardan mesmerized the audience with their captivating performances.

Sustainability at the Forefront

In line with AUS’ recent ranking as the UAE’s top university for environmental sustainability, the event introduced an exciting competition centered around green innovation. Alumni were invited to propose innovative business models for a greener future, with a grand prize featuring a Zeekr X car. This initiative reinforced AUS’ and Al Marwan’s shared dedication to sustainable development.
