His Highness, the Crown Prince Sheikh Abdullah bin Salim bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah inaugurated the Sharjah Business Forum – 2011 on Feb 27th 2011. Al Marwan Group, being the Silver Co-sponsor was one of the most active parties during the two days of the event.

Organized by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the forum focused mainly on the co-operation between the GCC markets and the business sectors.

The forum sought to establish a strong connection with business community and to create a positive interaction between business community, students and University of Sharjah faculty. The global financial crisis attracted the attention of United Arab Emirates economics and financial authorities to focus on corporate governance standards. Thus, Ministry of Economy published Ministerial Resolution No. 518 of 2009 which enhances corporate governance rules and discipline standards for UAE Public Joint Stock Companies.
