Early detection is critical in the fight against breast cancer. Through 8 fixed and 100 mobile clinics, Pink Caravan made screening services accessible to people across the UAE. This year, permanent units traveled across the country, stopping at key locations like Dubai City Walk, Majaz Water Park in Sharjah, Al Manar Mall in Ras Al Khaimah, Umm Al Qaiwain Mall in Umm Al Qaiwain, and more.

The clinics were staffed by dedicated professionals who provided free screenings and follow-up resources, ensuring that financial barriers did not prevent individuals from prioritizing their health. The Pink Caravan initiative kicked off October month with a successful event from October 4 to October 6 in Aljada, Sharjah, where both men and women were invited to get screened for free. The mobile clinic saw significant engagement, with around 7,100 visitors. Over 1,000 screenings were completed, including 103 mammograms, 373 clinical examinations for men, and 524 for women. The event also featured workshops on cancer prevention and self-examination techniques, and visitors were educated on how early detection can greatly improve treatment outcomes and recovery rates.

Heavy rainfall brought by the "Al Hadir" storm in April 2024 caused significant flooding across Sharjah, with some streets submerged under 80 cm of water. In response, Al Marwan Group, a Sharjah-based company committed to supporting the local community, took swift action.

Al Marwan Group Welcomes Sharjah Municipality Delegation

On the UAE's 41st National Day, Al Marwan Group would like to congratulate His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the president of The United Arab Emirates, His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council member and Ruler of Sharjah, their highnesses members of the Supreme Council and all the citizens and residents of the UAE.

In good memory of this proud event, Al Marwan Construct- the contractor arm of Al Marwan Group has completed the construction project of Flag Island in the heart of the emirate of Sharjah, which stands as a new landmark that holds the monumental seventh highest flagpole that was also assembled by our team at Al Marwan Construct.

With the direction and collaboration of Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), and Sharjah Department of Public Works (SDPW), the project was successfully completed and handed over on time.

Organized by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the forum focused mainly on the co-operation between the GCC markets and the business sectors.

The forum sought to establish a strong connection with business community and to create a positive interaction between business community, students and University of Sharjah faculty. The global financial crisis attracted the attention of United Arab Emirates economics and financial authorities to focus on corporate governance standards. Thus, Ministry of Economy published Ministerial Resolution No. 518 of 2009 which enhances corporate governance rules and discipline standards for UAE Public Joint Stock Companies.

The 10th Sharjah Urban Planning Symposium (SUPS-10) was organized by the Sharjah Directorate of Public Works, the American University of Sharjah, and University of Sharjah. It marked the 10th anniversary of an important tradition that began in 1998. The conference is organized annually under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Al Qassimi, Ruler of Sharjah and Member of the Supreme Council of the UAE.

Each year the conference assembles urban/environmental planning scholars, professionals and technocrats from all over the world to examine a topical theme. SUPS X will continue this tradition by examining the theme “Capital Cities, Wicked Problems: Best Practices in Planning and Policy Response Mechanisms”. Al Marwan Group was honored to have been awarded during the event, as being a key player in the construction and infrastructure scene of Sharjah.
